THE MUSIC
British-Welsh composer David John Roche has had music performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Orion Orchestra, BBC Singers, Britten Sinfonia, Notes Inegales, Magnard Ensemble, Carducci Quartet, Galliard Ensemble, Richard Casey, Ricard Watkins, and many others. His music has been described as 'exhilerating', 'no mean feat', and 'the highlight of the evening'. He is frequently comissioned, has had his music televised and broadcast nationally and internationally, and he has been nominated for several composition awards.

David read music at Cardiff University, the University of Oxford, and is currently reading for a PhD in Music Composition at Downing College, University of Cambridge. Over the course of his studies he has received 15 academic awards.
